The wheel turns

This summer has been very odd. Sometimes far too hot, but only following a damp winter.

The grass hasn’t grown, the sheep are struggling to find enough to graze and the fruit trees are going mad, especially the apples. Even blackberries are early on the hedges, which may lead to a hungry winter for many who rely on them later in autumn.

But the wheel turns and soon the leaves will start to fall. For many of us, this is the sign we can return to the coppice, the hedgerow and the woods, to start the work.

So far, I have a couple of lengths of hedge planned, and more regeneration of the copse to work through.

However, if you need some hedge looking at, or woodland work considering, there is still space in the calendar to book up before next year. Drop me a line.
